Purchasing/Personnel Department provides the following services:
- Sells city vehicle stickers for approximately 30,000 vehicles
- Administers and maintains business licenses
- Administers and maintains animal licenses
- Accepts applications for employment
- Maintains all employee personnel files
- Handles all personnel matters
- Coordinates employee insurance matters
- Coordinates all city insurance matters with insurance agent
- Procurement of materials, supplies, equipment and services at the lowest possible cost
- Promote fair dealings which ensure that Calumet City taxpayers receive the maximum value for every expenditure
