Safely clear out unwanted documents, old electronics, and expired prescription medications at this free community recycling event hosted by State Representative Marcus C. Evans, Jr., in partnership with Calumet City Mayor Thaddeus Jones and Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart.
Residents can securely dispose of:
- 📄 Personal paper documents for shredding
- 💻 Electronics, including TVs (limit one per household), computers, laptops, cell phones, and other electronic devices
- 💊 Unwanted or expired human and pet prescription medications (pills only)
Important Reminders:
- The electronics and prescription drug recycling truck will depart promptly at 12:00 p.m. (Noon). Please arrive early.
- Paper shredding is available for local residents only. No business or commercial shredding.
- No metal, cardboard, or hard plastics will be accepted with paper shredding.
- Prescription drug disposal accepts pills only. No liquid medications, needles, or syringes.
- Vehicles should line up on Wentworth Avenue facing Pulaski Road.
