Dress Out the Box Initiative
The Office of the Mayor and the City of Calumet City invite you to support the Dress Out the Box Initiative, a community effort dedicated to helping local students attend prom with confidence and dignity.
This program provides formal attire to students who may not otherwise have access, ensuring every participant can fully experience this important milestone. We are currently seeking donations of new or gently used prom dresses, formal shoes, and tuxedos.
Your contribution—no matter the size—will directly benefit youth in our community by helping them feel prepared, confident, and celebrated.
Donation Details:
Items may be dropped off at 542 Pulaski Road, Calumet City, IL, on Mondays and Wednesdays between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
If you are unable to drop off your donation but are located within a reasonable distance, arrangements can be made for item pickup.
Important Dates:
Commitment to donate: by April 1
Donation submission deadline: April 20
