Home Improvement & Permit Education Workshop
Join us for an informative and educational workshop to learn when a permit is required, how the permit process works, and why inspections are important before beginning home improvement or construction projects.
Residents will receive information about:
- Why permits are required
- Which home improvement projects may require a permit, including roofing, fencing, additions, interior work, and more
- The step-by-step permit process
- Required inspections
- What homeowners should know when working with contractors
- Potential consequences of completing work without the required permit
- Answers to your home improvement and permitting questions
The workshop is hosted by Alderwoman Shalisa Harvey, 1st Ward, Chair of the License & Permits Committee.
