Weather Advisory: Extreme Heat Watch

The City of Calumet City is advising residents that an Extreme Heat Watch is expected to impact our area beginning Monday, June 29 at 12:00 PM.
Projected temperatures throughout the week are expected to remain in the upper 80s to low 90s, with overnight lows in the mid-to-upper 60s.

Residents needing relief from the heat may visit the Calumet City Public Library during normal business hours.📍 660 S. Manistee Ave, Calumet City

For emergencies, contact the Calumet City Police Department or Calumet City Fire Department at 1200 Pulaski Ave, Calumet City.

- Drink plenty of water
- Limit strenuous outdoor activities
- Check on elderly neighbors, young children, and those with health conditions
- Wear light, loose-fitting clothing
- Never leave people or pets in a vehicle
