Notice of Public Hearing – December 02, 2020


Notice is hereby given to all interested parties that the City Clerk of the City of Calumet City, as the Local Election Official, shall conduct a Lottery for simultaneous petition filing of candidates who have filed for the same office as of the opening hour of the filing period, or within the last hour of the filing deadline, for the Consolidated Primary Election to be held on February 23, 2021, in accordance with 10 ILCS 5/7-12(6), 10-6.2.

The Lottery will be held on Wednesday December 2, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in the City Council Chambers at Calumet City, City Hall 204 Pulaski Road, Calumet City, IL 60409.

Physical attendance at the Lottery for each office will be limited to one (1) representative for each interested party and subject to social distancing guidelines and restrictions. Proper face coverings will also be required at all times. Social distancing and guidelines, restrictions, and face covering requirements are pursuant to those issued by the CDC and the Illinois Department of Health in addition to Illinois Gubernatorial Disaster Proclamation (latest dated November 13, 2020) and Executive Order 2020-73, which implements “Tier 3 Mitigations” to the entire State of Illinois, and any other applicable orders or laws, as amended. Any amendments or changes to said requirements shall be incorporated and adhered to for the purposes of conducting the Lottery.
