Full Time - 911 Communications Officers - Calumet City Police Department

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age at time of hire
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Successfully complete the Criti-Call Online dispatching exam
  • Must pass a thorough background investigation, including polygraph, psychological exam, and medical and drug screenings.

The Calumet City Police Department serves a population of 36,500 residents strong in ethnic, racial, and cultural diversity. The Calumet City Police Department 9-1-1 Center operates 24 hours a day and is responsible for receiving and processing emergency and non-emergency calls from the public requesting police, fire, medical and other emergency services. This is a fast paced, challenging, and exciting career field.
