Board of Fire and Police Commissioners
The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners is hiring Police Officers.
Applications can be picked up and returned between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the Calumet City Police Department located at 1200 Pulaski Road Calumet City, IL 60409. Applications are due October 11, 2021.
The power card must be submitted by November 12, 2021. The Calumet City Board of Fire and Police does not offer a study guide for the exam. The exam will be conducted by C.O.P.S. and F.I.R.E. Personnel Testing Service and you may purchase a study guide on their website for $12.00 or attend a test-taking technique class, which offers a practice test and study guide for $25.00.

The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners consists of three (3) members. Commissioner Bryan Caridine, Commissioner Carol Torres-Conditt, and Commissioner Stevon Grant have been appointed by Mayor Thaddeus Jones, with the consent of the City Council. The Board unanimously elected Commissioner Stevon Grant as chairperson and JeTuan Russell as Secretary.
The regular meeting of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners is the first Wednesday of the month.
