DESCRIPTION:🚨 **IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR CALUMET CITY RESIDENTS** 🦟 \nDue to elevated risks of **West Nile Virus** and mosquitoes that carry it\, the **South Cook County Mosquito Abatement District (SCCMAD)** will conduct adult mosquito treatment operations (**Adulticiding**) throughout Calumet City **TONIGHT\, Thursday\, September 10\, 2026\, beginning at 7:30 p.m.** \n🕢 **Treatment Time: 7:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.** \nAdulticiding targets adult mosquitoes to help prevent the spread of mosquito-borne viruses. \n⚠️ **PLEASE NOTE:**\n• All areas of Calumet City will be treated\, **EXCEPT FOREST PRESERVE AREAS.**\n• Residents are encouraged to **keep windows closed and pets indoors from 7:30 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.** \n🏠 **Don’t want treatment near your home?**\nResidents may request that SCCMAD pause treatment **200 feet before and 200 feet past their home.** Call SCCMAD to be placed on the list. \n📞 **(708) 333-4120**\n🌐 **www.sccmad.org** \nThis treatment is being conducted by the **South Cook County Mosquito Abatement District**.
