SUMMARY:Dress Out the Box Initiative
DESCRIPTION:The Office of the Mayor and the City of Calumet City invite you to support the Dress Out the Box Initiative\, a community effort dedicated to helping local students attend prom with confidence and dignity. \nThis program provides formal attire to students who may not otherwise have access\, ensuring every participant can fully experience this important milestone. We are currently seeking donations of new or gently used prom dresses\, formal shoes\, and tuxedos. \nYour contribution—no matter the size—will directly benefit youth in our community by helping them feel prepared\, confident\, and celebrated. \nDonation Details:\nItems may be dropped off at 542 Pulaski Road\, Calumet City\, IL\, on Mondays and Wednesdays between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM. \nIf you are unable to drop off your donation but are located within a reasonable distance\, arrangements can be made for item pickup. \nImportant Dates:\nCommitment to donate: by April 1\nDonation submission deadline: April 20 \nFor additional information or to coordinate a donation\, please contact Shanice Monterrubio at (773) 490-9208 or stolbert@calumetcity.org. \nYour support plays a vital role in making prom a memorable and inclusive experience for all students.
