Purchasing/Personnel Department provides the following services:
  • Sells city vehicle stickers for approximately 30,000 vehicles
  • Administers and maintains business licenses
  • Administers and maintains animal licenses
  • Accepts applications for employment
  • Maintains all employee personnel files
  • Handles all personnel matters
  • Coordinates employee insurance matters
  • Coordinates all city insurance matters with insurance agent
  • Procurement of materials, supplies, equipment and services at the lowest possible cost
  • Promote fair dealings which ensure that Calumet City taxpayers receive the maximum value for every expenditure
