The Mayor and City Council of the City of Calumet City have determined that significant residential community interests are served by providing the Calumet City Residential Assistance Program (CC-RAP) under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).   The CC-RAP is designed to help improve/enhance quality of life for residents who live within the corporate boundaries of Calumet City and to ensure sustainability within their homes. Eligibility for funding must be affixed to the property in which residents live in an effort to help improve/enhance quality of life.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Checks WILL NOT be issued payable directly to residents. Checks will be issued to residents, however, payable directly to the organization or company that appears on the past due bill or other eligible request for assistance.  Although documents presented may be a request for more than $500, the City will only pay up to $500 to the company or organization that appears on the request for payment.  The resident will be responsible for sending the City’s check to the organization or company – and the resident is responsible for the remaining portions of the bill.
